Who can contribute?
Data sources, distilleries, retailers, tasting clubs, festivals and publishers each offer something useful: current facts, specialist knowledge, real audience questions or a place where people learn together.
- Data sources: verifiable product and distillery records.
- Distilleries: factual corrections, product information and craft knowledge.
- Retailers and clubs: anonymised taste questions and educational tasting routes.
- Festivals and publishers: explainers, comparisons and audience education.
Practical collaboration ideas
Start small and measurable: a checked dataset, a joint beginner guide, a flavour route for a club night or strong sourcing around current product information.
Whisk(e)y Compare does not sell alcohol and does not exchange ranking positions for payment. Editorial independence and clear attribution come first.
How data and sources are handled
We prefer primary sources and show where information comes from. Facts, editorial flavour profiles and catalogue-only records remain clearly separated.
- Only information with publishing permission or a clear public source.
- Corrections are checked before publication.
- Personal or private club data is never published without permission.
- A partnership never automatically changes a flavour score or ranking.
From idea to a small pilot
Tell us briefly who you are, which audience you serve, what source or activity you want to connect and how visitors benefit. We can then assess a small pilot against the platform’s independent purpose.
Transparency
Sources, image makers, licences and methodology are brought together here. Wherever possible, Whisk(e)y Compare links bottle data and distillery status to producers, trade bodies and other primary sources. Scores describe flavour intensity, not quality.
